I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Jillian Caprio, and I am a Licensed Social Worker specializing in trauma-informed care. I earned my Master’s in Social Work with a focus on violence against women and children, and my approach is shaped by my experience in non-traditional school and group home settings, where I saw how deeply past experiences influence how we think, feel, and respond.
I believe that all behaviors are adaptive—they made sense to our minds at the time they developed. This includes compulsive patterns, which we can explore together with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.
I also have experience supporting individuals with ADHD, ASD, and other learning differences, and I value understanding how each person uniquely processes and experiences the world.
My goal is to help you make sense of your experiences, build supportive coping strategies, and move toward a greater sense of safety, empowerment, and well-being. I approach this work through a lens that honors everything that makes you who you are—recognizing that no two people share the same experiences, and that our backgrounds, culture, race, and socioeconomic status, abilities, identity, and more all shape how we move through the world. It’s a privilege to do this work, and I look forward to meeting you.
